Professional Gtechniq protection, matched to your paint
Protect the gloss you love with accredited installation of Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra. Every recommendation starts with a paint inspection—because a new vehicle and a correction-ready finish do not need the same preparation.
Installed by an accredited professionalTwo service paths, one properly prepared finish
Ceramic coating performance depends on what is underneath it. We inspect the vehicle first, then recommend only the preparation the paint actually needs.
New or near-new vehicle
When the paint is already in excellent condition, the job may require careful cleaning, decontamination, and coating prep—not a full paint correction.
- Paint-condition inspection
- Decontamination and surface preparation
- Crystal Serum Ultra installation
Paint correction and ceramic coating
If the finish has visible swirls, oxidation, water spotting, or other defects, we build the correction plan around the condition of the paint.
- Defect and paint-condition assessment
- Correction level matched to the vehicle
- Coating applied after the finish is refined
A durable ceramic system—not a substitute for paint protection film
Crystal Serum Ultra forms a two-layer inorganic ceramic composite when professionally applied by an accredited detailer. It is designed to improve gloss and resistance to chemicals and wash-induced swirling while making routine maintenance easier.
Ceramic coating does not make paint scratch-proof and does not absorb rock impacts. For high-impact protection, ask about combining it with XPEL paint protection film.
What the coating helps with
- Deep gloss and a slicker, easier-to-clean surface
- Resistance to environmental and chemical contamination
- Improved resistance to light wash-induced swirls
- A professionally applied system with a manufacturer guarantee available
Guarantee note: Crystal Serum Ultra carries a nine-year manufacturer guarantee when the installation is professionally completed, registered, properly maintained, and inspected annually. Manufacturer terms apply.
Our ceramic coating process
A ceramic-coating service record can be submitted to CARFAX
When Car and Air completes a qualifying ceramic-coating service, the service record can be submitted for inclusion in the vehicle’s CARFAX service history. If accepted, it documents the professional care the vehicle received.
What CARFAX reporting means
CARFAX reports may include service and repair information, but not every event is guaranteed to appear. We can document and submit the qualifying service; final inclusion is controlled by CARFAX and its reporting network.
This is service-history documentation, not a promise of increased resale value.
Ceramic coating FAQ
Does a brand-new vehicle need paint correction?
Not always. We inspect the finish first. If the paint is already in excellent condition, careful decontamination and coating preparation may be all it needs. Any correction recommendation is based on defects we can actually see.
Is ceramic coating scratch-proof?
No. It improves resistance to light wash-induced swirling and contamination, but it does not make paint immune to scratches, chips, or impacts. Paint protection film is the better choice for rock-chip protection.
How long does Crystal Serum Ultra last?
Gtechniq offers a nine-year guarantee for qualifying Crystal Serum Ultra installations. Registration, proper maintenance, annual inspections by an accredited detailer, and all manufacturer terms apply.
Will the service appear on CARFAX?
A qualifying ceramic-coating service record can be submitted to CARFAX. CARFAX may include service and repair records, but no shop can guarantee that every submitted event will appear on every report.
